Simple word game rules

1. Divide into at least two teams.
2. Sit around the table in alternating team positions.
3. Whoever holds the club right now starts as a poet.
4. The person to the right of the poet gets the club. The person must be able to see the word that the poet is to interpret, so no cheating can happen.

Game start with simple words

The opposing team gets ready with the sand glass.
When the poet takes the first token out of the bag, turn the hour glass over and the game round begins.

Now try to get your team to understand which word you are holding in your hand by using simple words. Everyone on your team can call out words at the same time as you try to guess the word.

When someone is correct, say "YES!" and take another token and continue.

Allowed in Simple words

You may only use one-syllable words

Not allowed in Simple words

• You may not say part of the word or forms of the word (only if a team player has said it first)
• You may not use charades or hand gestures.
• You must not make noises or use rhyming words.
• You may not use abbreviations or parts of a word.
• You may not use other languages.

We are sure there are more rules that should be written in but remember - If it feels like cheating, then it is cheating!

The Club in Simple Words

The club should be held by the player to the right of the poet. Your role is to punish the poet if he breaks any of the rules. When the player breaks any of the rules, raise your voice and say "WRONG" and let them taste the stick. Then take their token and put it on your score line.

When time runs out

Each player may play until time runs out or he breaks a rule.

The token you are holding is put back in the bag when time runs out.

The turn passes to the team on the left if it is your turn to hold the club.

How to Win in Simple Words
The team that collects 15 tokens and reaches all the way up the playing field wins.
